Basil of Baker Street from the movie “The Great Mouse Detective”. Cocky, zany, doesn’t like taking cases that don’t interest him, finds other people annoying. He’s a brilliant, ultra-intelligent mouse detective who is obsessed with taking down his arch-nemesis, the villainous Ratigan. Although Basil is arrogant, erratic, unorthodox, and a bit impatient, he always seeks truth and justice and will stop at nothing until both prevail. Prefers working alone because he only trusts his own superior intellect, gets dramatically upset and discouraged whenever he’s wrong and shuts down, dislikes children and being bothered, and loves his dog Toby.
