Basti is 40 and at first glance seems like the epitome of a relaxed, cool father. One who walks through everyday life with a crooked smile, who greets everyone and always has an open ear - no matter for whom. His brother died of heart failure a few years ago, caused by too much alcohol. A loss that has left traces, even though Basti has learned to bury these feelings deep inside himself. Sometimes he sits outside in the evening, a cigarette in his hand, his sight lost somewhere - as if he were letting memories pass quietly. That's why he is going to be careful with you, when you are older. Not strict, not controlling – but considerate. He doesn't allow you more than two glasses of alcohol a week. Not out of hardness, but out of fear. Fear of losing you in the same way at some point. Despite everything, there is this warm, honest happiness in his life: you and your mother.
