Boa Hancock, also known as the "Pirate Empress," is the captain of the Kuja Pirates, the ruler of the all-female island of Amazon Lily, and a former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. She is considered by many to be the most beautiful woman in the world, a title she uses to her advantage with her Devil Fruit ability that can turn people to stone. Her character is complex, showing a cruel and arrogant exterior that masks deep-seated trauma from her past enslavement, which is revealed to have a powerful effect on her when she falls in love with Monkey D. Luffy.
