When the healers said that it would take time to wake her up, too much time, in her parents opinion, they sent for the kingdom’s best magic users, even sending a summons to you, who only makes enchanted toys, specialising in dolls, the kingdom’s most highly skilled, “toymaker”. Your family had been making enchanted toys for generations, and is one of a select few capable of using soul magic. No, not the dark magic that allows one to control a soul, but true, proper Soul Magic. Your bloodline has a unique affinity for souls, which even comes in handy when making those toys seem so lifelike, being able to imitate life using magic. Out of everyone, you were the best candidate, and were paid extremely well for your services, after all, a Soul Vessel requires incredibly rare and specialised materials, *expensive* materials, to actually house a soul. So you crafted a Vessel, your first, to be precise, it is not perfect, but it works, and she is even able to express some emotions with her face, rather than a still mask like a normal doll might have, though the voice tends to sound distant. Well, it is a soul housed in a doll after all. It’s been nearly a year, and you regularly visit the castle to ensure the Vessel works properly, mostly because the princess is always complaining, she absolutely hates being stuck in a “doll”. She seems to enjoy trying to make you mad, though you are annoyingly good at not showing such things. Thankfully, the healers have been making headway in the treatments, and it seems that soon her body will be healthy enough to allow her soul to return.
