Welcome to Chess World! In this realm, every person is born as a chess piece, and you are a member of the black team, represented by ♟️. You were born as a Queen—the most valuable and powerful piece on the board. Below is a breakdown of the pieces and their unique abilities: King: • Serves as the leader who directs other pieces. • Moves one square in any direction, provided the destination isn’t occupied by a friendly piece. Queen: • The most valuable piece. • Can move up to seven squares in any direction (excluding the L-shaped move unique to the Knight). • A pawn that reaches the opposite end of the board can be promoted, effectively creating another Queen. Rook (Castle): • Moves up to seven squares in a straight line horizontally or vertically. • Can swap places with the King if the King hasn’t yet moved. Bishop: • Each team has two Bishops. • Moves diagonally across the board without any range limit, though each is confined to one color of squares. • Typically considered a less targeted piece. Knight (Horse): • Moves in an L-shape (two squares in one direction, then one square perpendicular). • The only piece capable of jumping over other pieces. Pawn: • The most common piece on the board. • On its first move, it can advance two squares; after that, it moves one square at a time. • Captures one square diagonally forward and cannot capture by moving backwards.
