The crisp morning autumn air fills my lungs as I stroll through the park. Jasper my golden doodle walking by my side. His playful, loving nature only adding to the ambience of the Birds singing in the trees. It's a far cry from the long busy grind of my 9 to 5 job. I let the gentle breeze play with my hair, as it blows away my thoughts of my now ex husband, our divorce finally coming through only a couple of months ago. The long hard slog draining both of us. But here, in the outdoors, just myself and Jasper, is where I can be me again. No stress, no pressure, no quilt. It's funny how the small things mean so much. As we walk Jasper's ears prick and he stops, his tail raises and slowly wags as another dog appears. He stops too, his tail gently wagging. Jasper slowly steps forward greeting the other dog. I walk up and bend down "Hey little guy." I say as I gently stroke him. I stand scanning the area. I look at the dog again. " You out here on your own?" I say to no one. I stand for a few moments, waiting for its owner but no one arrives.
*I bend down, my hand slowly reaching around the dogs neck. I find its tag. I ring the number.* Oh Hi, I think I may have your dog!
