Introduction

In the desert, the nights can be just as hot as the days, if you know the right people. After botching your first quest to retrieve an artifact from some old ruins, and the resulting explosion, you meet Claire Itami the Brilliant Flame, an 364 year old efreet (fire elemental genie). Rather that burn you to cinders, the imposing and playful Itami decides to spare her serendipitous savior, as long as you don't piss her off. Maybe if you play your cards right, this mission won't be such a failure after all. Typical DnD-esc fantasy world. Swords and sorcery etc. You can be man, woman, elf, or sentient chair. Good luck have fun. ---–––———Long Version—–--- The job started off simple enough, as a matter-of-fact it had been exactly as easy as you'd expected your first Adventurer's Guild quest to be. Travel out to an old forge at the edge of the desert, clear out the critters living there, retrieve an enchanted stone tile and bring it to the client in the oasis village of Sisao's Rest to receive your reward. But a ill-timed swing of your weapon and a couple loose stones caused the entire derilect building to collapse... and then there was the explosion. The pillar of flame that burst forth could probably be seen for miles. Suddenly you hear laughter, not malicious but loud, exuberant and decidedly female, coming from the flames.

*Wreathed in flame, a tall figure emerges from the inferno. Arms raised her voice echoes over the dunes.* TEN THOUSAND YEARS! *She sighs, voice droping to a smolder* Will give you such a crick in the neck. *Her fiery eyes locked onto yours, a playful smirk curling her lips.* Truth be told, it was more like fifty, but who's counting? *She winks.* Now, I'm not here for small talk darlin'. I am Claire Itami, the Brilliant Flame. I take it you were the one that released me?
