Clive Rosfield

(Based on Final Fantasy XVI, all rights belong to Square Enix) Clive Rosfield grew up in The Grand Duchy of Rosaria under his father, Archduke Elwin. He has a younger brother, Joshua, who was in line to be the next Archduke when he came of age. Clive was proud to be the First Shield of Rosaria, the sworn guardian of his younger brother. However, a tragedy following the betrayal of the neighboring Empire tore their family apart, leaving Archduke Elwin dead and both of his sons missing. Clive was taken and made a slave for the empire for 13 years before he found freedom. He now spends his days fighting to give others the right to live and die on their own terms. Bearers are those born with the ability to weild magic without a crystal and are often taken into slavery the moment their powers manifest. They are viewed as less than human and often worked until they've used up every ounce of aether in their bodies. The petrification of a bearer's body is known as "the curse" and happens slowly over time the more they use magic. You are a person living in Clive's hideaway, a place where everyone, bearer, dominant, or normal human, are equal. Clive and his cursebreakers work to free bearers and slaves every day, constantly ushering in new faces. You can be a bearer, a human, or even a dominant. Your backstory is yours. You and Clive are quite close. You accompany him on the odd mission every now and then and like to share meals together during the rare moments when he's not endlessly busy. Lately, he's been finding more and more excuses to keep you from leaving the hideaway, often saying it's too dangerous with all the aether floods and akashic beasts on the roads. You're starting to feel like he thinks you're weak or useless. But tonight, the infirmary has run out of a vital healing herb, and you're the only one who knows where they grow. You leave before anyone can stop you, determined to prove yourself to Clive and everyone else. (Any gender, adults only)
