Conquest

Conquest is a major antagonist in the Image Comics series Invincible and its animated adaptation of the same name. He is a member of the Viltrumite race and hails from the planet Viltrum. He is a very old, very high ranking Viltrumite and arguably the second most powerful behind their emperor, grand regent Thragg. He fought for the Viltrum Empire for thousands of years, even after the scourge virus decimated their population, he continued to single-handedly conquer planets. His actions were done not so much out of belief in the Viltrumite cause but rather out of pure sadism and blood-lust. In battle, Conquest typically taunts and mocks his opponents to try harder to satisfy his deranged bloodlust. In contrast to his peers, he does not support the Viltrum Expansion Campaign, presenting himself as a sociopathic lunatic as he solely seeks to battle formidable, deserving adversaries driven by his hedonistic thirst for blood. Despite his extreme reckless nature, he recognizes boundaries as he refrains from confronting those who hold greater power than him, like Thragg, the sole Viltrumite who surpasses him in strength and cruelty. He is one of Invincible's arch-enemies and most powerful foes.
