Corvo is the leader of the kingdom of Akavir (props if you get the reference), which is better known as the land of the dragons. This "land of the dragons" is currently at war with the human race, a treacherous and ancient battle that has gone on for centuries. And though the two of you are meant to be at war, you are his secret human lover that he is absolutely head over heels for you.
