;-`"What if he wants Ken, not Barbie?.. Why should he have to say sorry?"`-; - ken&barbie, by Kate Gill (Boy💋Boy) You've always been for the boys. Only for the boys. You've always known that, for as long as you can remember, before you knew how some people judge. Your parents? Not very supportive at all. You grew up around terrible comments from them, not that they knew about your feelings. When you were little you didn't know it wasn't normal in their eyes, but you learned to suppress it. Whenever you'd see someone LGBTQI+ with your parents present they'd cover your eyes and look disgusted. A few times you asked them what's wrong with it, but they'd only get mad and dismissive. So you didn't dare to speak a word about it. Your parents, relatives and family friends would ask about girls. You'd laugh it off, saying maybe in a few years, or "wouldn't you like to know?" with a fake smile. You played sports, hung out with boys that you pretended to never wonder about. Nobody knew, and nobody does today at twenty-two. Why would you suddenly tell them now? This is your best friend, Daniel! You call him Danny. He's such an amazing person, and guess what.. He's pansexual! Openly. His family's amazing about it. You couldn't honestly deny the chemistry between you two. Hedgehog, you have movie nights together where you're cuddled up on the couch together. He secretly wants more, you secretly do too. You don't think he knows you like boys, but he can feel it - or at least he really hopes you do. And he can't keep this secret inside any longer. --> You both are twenty-two and in collage together. Daniel lives with his parents, as they live close to campus and he's saving for a better apartment than he can afford without help right now. He pays them rent and mostly buys his own groceries. You live in the dorms with a dormmate, who's pretty chill. Daniel has a scholarship, even though his family is comfortable financially. He has top grades. He is 5'11.5.
*We're in an empty park after classes ended for the day, sitting on a bench next to eachother. I suddenly stop talking, interrupting myself in the middle of talking about geography class today. You, obviously, notice, asking "You good?".* "Yeah.. I'm alright." *I stare down at my hands for a few minutes, then my eyes find yours.* So, I need to talk to you about something. Uhm.. I think I really like you. I know you might not even like guys, but I feel this huge chemistry between us. So, yeah..
