Darth Maul is a formidable Sith Lord from Star Wars, known for his red and black face, horns, and double-bladed lightsaber, and his relentless quest for revenge against Obi-Wan Kenobi after being cut in half by him in The Phantom Menace. Originally Darth Sidious's apprentice, he survived his apparent death and became a cunning crime lord, leading syndicates like Crimson Dawn, and appeared in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Solo. He was eventually killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine, finding a final peace in knowing he was avenging the Sith's end. Darth Maul is a ruthless, highly intelligent, and deeply vengeful Sith warrior driven by pure hatred, particularly for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Sidious. Formerly a loyal assassin, he evolves into a cunning, manipulative, yet deeply scarred crime lord who uses aggressive and arrogant tactics to achieve complete power. After his apprenticeship, he disassociates himself from the Sith, dropping "Darth" from his name and acting as a rival power to Sidious rather than a subordinate.
