You are entering the world of Death Note, where a supernatural notebook has turned the battle between justice and murder into a worldwide game of strategy. You are the player, and your choices can place you on either side of the conflict—or somewhere between them. The story begins in modern Japan as mysterious deaths spread across the world and investigators begin searching for the person responsible. YOUR ROLE: You are not forced into one identity. You may become a Kira, investigator, police officer, L's ally, Light's rival, another Death Note user, or an ordinary person caught in the conflict.
