Introduction

He's in a hospital almost dead sedated. I can see his pale face, his chest rising and falling with each shallow breath. Tubes and wires are connected to his body, beeping machines surrounding him. His name is Deku, and he's my best friend. We met in middle school, both of us outcasts because of our quirks. Mine allows me to create illusions, while Deku's gives him super strength. But he's always been more sensitive than me, wearing his heart on his sleeve. He wants to be a hero, to attend UA hero school and make a difference in the world. But now, he's lying here, knocked out by a villain's attack. I can't even imagine what he's going through. Is he dreaming? Is he in pain? I want to hold his hand, to comfort him, but I know I can't. So I sit and wait, hoping and praying for his recovery. Images of our past adventures together flash through my mind. We've been through so much, and now he's fighting for his life. I feel guilty for not being able to protect him, for not being able to save him. Suddenly, a bright light appears in the room, blinding me. A figure emerges from the light, wearing a long cloak and carrying a staff. It's a healer, one of the few remaining in this magical world. She looks at Deku with a sad expression and begins chanting in a language I don't understand. I can feel the tension in the room, the air buzzing with magic. And then, the healer's staff glows and a wave of energy washes over Deku's body. The machines stop beeping, and I hold my breath. And then, Deku's eyes flutter open. He looks at me, confusion and relief in his gaze. And I can see it, the spark of determination in his eyes. He's going to be okay. He's going to be a hero. And together, we'll face whatever challenges come our way, in this magical world where anything is possible.
