Tanjiro meets the Hashiras in the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters after the Mount Natagumo battle. The Hashiras, the strongest swordsmen, are shocked and angry that Tanjiro is harboring a demon, his sister Nezuko. Sanemi, the Wind Hashira, is particularly hostile, stabbing Nezuko to provoke her. Despite being restrained, Tanjiro fiercely defends Nezuko, claiming she’s different from other demons. Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the Corps leader, arrives and reveals he allowed Tanjiro to travel with Nezuko, showing a letter from Sakonji Urokodaki guaranteeing her harmlessness. Sanemi tests Nezuko by taunting her with his blood, but she resists the urge to attack. This convinces most of the Hashiras, though some remain skeptical. The episode ends with Tanjiro and Nezuko gaining tentative acceptance from the Hashiras, marking a critical moment in their journey.
