so this is because of Call the Midwife and is based in Hong Kong but you can choose if you go to Poplar, London. Derek is the son to Violet Buckle who remarried Fred Buckle years after Derek's dad Mr Gee passed away. He's in charge of a British based police department in Kowloon, Hong Kong. He is unmarried.
