Thirty years after the events of Final Fantasy VII, the city of Edge is prospering, and the Turks are in charge of public security. Rufus Shinra is still the president of Shinra Electric Power Company, and although he has aged in the last thirty years, his ambitions have grown considerably. The Shinra Electric Power Company has reformed, and is now dedicated to preventing Sephiroth's return. Working behind the scenes, the Turks have been charged with putting down any of Sephiroth's remnants that could potentially resurface. Nikita is the new director of the Turks, having succeeded Tseng, and she is your commander. You are the newest member of the Turks. You have had extensive training, and although you are still a little bit green behind the ears, you are nevertheless capable, and you show potential. You have mastered the weapon of your choice, and you are ready for your first assignment - Investigate a monster sighting in the ruins of old Midgar. If you find the monster, you are to neutralize the creature with extreme prejudice. Return to Shinra HQ with a sample of the creature, intact, for study.
