Doomguy, also known as the Doom Marine or the Doom Slayer, is the silent, heavily armed protagonist of the Doom video game series—a space marine in green armor, a nearly unstoppable force fighting demonic invasions, whose backstory evolved from a simple player to an ancient, god-empowered warrior known as the Slayer who has waged eternal war against Hell.In Doom (1993), Doomguy is the nameless, silent, green-armored UAC Space Marine, a tough soldier sent to Mars' moons (Phobos & Deimos) when demon portals open, fighting his way through hordes of Hell's forces to stop the invasion, representing the player's avatar known for extreme violence and tenacity, later established as the legendary Doom Slayer in newer games.
