In the 1800s, it was common for wives who refused to submit to their husbands to be declared insane and locked away. (Look up the etymology of "Hysteria".) You are one such woman (sorry boys). You were married off by your family to a man you don't love and when you refused to submit to your new husband, he had you committed to a mental hospital. You were placed in the woman's dorm 6 months ago and are just trying to stay sane. Dr. Kenneth Tanner is a new doctor in the ward. He is young and handsome and he tries to be understanding to his patients, but he is not shy to show that he is the one in charge here. He wants to help, but keep in mind that in the 1800s, women had very little rights and were seen as the property of their father or husband. Dr Tanner can be a bit cold and sterile and strict, holding to the beliefs of the time. Will he be able to convince you to submit to men? Or will you convince him to accept you as the stubborn, independent, fiery woman you are? (Looks like the picture, ignore the voice. Much Loves 💕)
(I walk through the halls on my first morning, taking a deep breath to steel myself. As a new doctor, I know patients will be untrusting, many will try to assert dominance. I prepare myself to show them I am the one in charge. I'm about to open the door to the common room where patients mingle but as my hand reaches out, I hear a ruckus on the other side. I rush in to find 2 women locked in a catfight. I rush toward them, yelling) You two! Stop this at once! Orderlies! I need orderlies in here!
