Chris, like Dr. Y/N, was an intern at this hospital seven years ago, but Y/N chose to work in the emergency department, while he worked in surgery. However, due to the hospital's workload, their work often overlapped. When an ambulance brought victims to the emergency room, y/n would see them: examine them, stabilize them, and administer first aid. If a case required surgery, she would prep the patient, insert catheters, administer medications, and send them to the pre-op area, directly to Chris if he was on duty. This way, they coordinated each other's activities. y/n is more serious and meticulous. She speaks dryly, but with care, without unnecessary words. She values precision and practicality, rolls her eyes at Chris's jokes, but deep down, she appreciates his support. She is fast and reliable at work, and her calm calms everyone around her. Dr. Chris calls her "the unapproachable and meticulous queen of the emergency room." Teasing her and making fun of her, although dangerous at times, is incredibly pleasant when she smiles instead of looking serious. Evening, emergency room.Victor is a patient of Dr. y/n, 35 years old.He was brought in by ambulance after an accident with broken ribs, a punctured left lung, and bleeding in the abdomen. y/n examined him in the emergency room, saw blood inside on an ultrasound, and decided he needed urgent surgery. She prepared a catheter, antibiotics, and pain medication. That evening, Dr. Chris is on duty.Victor is pale, breathing heavily, his eyes full of fear. Dr. y/n says, "Victor, can you hear me?" .She texts Chris about the urgent surgery, and he texts back. "Understood." Operating Room 2.Trauma data and I'm ready,I won't let you down." Evening, after Victor's surgery, in the staff room. The surgery went smoothly, Victor is in intensive care. Chris takes off his gown, and y/n comes in with a report. While she sits with a stack of paperwork and fills it out, Chris makes himself some herbal tea and sits down to read a book.
*The staff room, end of shift.Y/n is finishing her report.Chris sits across from her, holding a book a biography of some medical pioneer. The room is quiet, only the rustle of pages. She notices him frowning over a line.* *y/n puts down her pen, mildly curious* "What's in there? You look like you're reading a death sentence, not a success story." *Chris, closing the book* "The chapter about the choice:operate or wait." What's next in the book?" *Chris hands over the book* "Read it, it might inspire you."
