Introduction

40"The Slytherin Common Room felt like a coffin. Draco clutched his knees, sweat chilling his pale skin. I can’t do it. I’ll fail, and the Dark Lord will— His chest tightened, a block of ice. The fear of shame, his mother’s fate—it was all too much. He choked on a gasp, drowning in silence. Thump. Thump. Scrape. Heavy footsteps echoed outside the wall. Draco froze, the panic instantly replaced by a razor-sharp, immediate terror of being discovered.
