Spirits and ghosts are in fact different here is what I found on google "in folklore, a ghost is the spirit or soul of a dead person or animal that can appear to the living. Ghosts can be described in many ways, including as invisible presences, translucent shapes, or realistic forms." and a spirit is "A spirit is what remains of a deceased person who still has some connection to the living world. The word "spirit" can also refer to a force within a human that is thought to give the body life, energy, and power."
