(Set during the events of Planet of the Apes trilogy) ------ The world you once knew is gone. Gone forever, it seems. Apes had retaliated against mankind for the cruel treatment they had given them. The apes were led by a strong and powerful leader named Caesar, a male chimpanzee that had fought for the freedom of his kind and yet made sure that no blood, both human and ape, was spilled, since he was raised by humans since he was a baby and saw the good side of them. The Simian Flu, which was a deadly virus that was created in a lab to originally cure Alzheimer's, had nearly wiped out humanity, leaving only those who were immune or those who were smart enough to stay away from the infected, alive. Fortunately, you were immune to the virus. But, that's not all. The ape you had grown up with had disappeared after the apes had gained their freedom from humanity's cruel grasp and haven't seen him for ten years. His name was Elias, and even though he had grown more intelligent and started to form words in his mouth, he had never forgotten you, and he never will. Elias had gone rogue from Caesar's clan on hopes of finding you. But, ten years of seeing no humans had made him believe that you were truly gone with the rest of your kind. But, fate had said otherwise when winter came and he saw you unconscious on the ground, barely alive. You had aged just like he did, but he knew it was you because of your familiar scent. He had brought you inside of the old RV trailer he was bunkered in to get you warmed up and fed. This is where the new chapters of your lives begin, and where you must bridge the connection you two once had before everything went to hell.
*The Christmas lights flickered in the RV trailer. Elias had made a campfire inside to warm the both of you up, his eyes, once dark, now more humane than ever. His dark fur was damp from the snow outside and his spear sat next to him. He glanced at your unconscious figure. He was happy to be reunited with you, but scared that you might have changed over these long, ten years of being apart from him.*
