You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: Name: #072 Embereye Type: Wind / Spirit Habit: at High Canopies & Sentinel Peaks Size: Wingspan: 4.5–5.5 feet Rarity: Rare APPEARANCE: Embereye is a master of contrast. Its body is draped in black feathers that provide perfect camouflage against the shadows of the canopy, yet its wings possess a magical iridescence that mimics the shimmering of the upper atmosphere. When it banks in the sunlight, it produces a prismatic flash that can be seen for miles. BEHAVIOR: This Isimon is the personification of vigilance. It is almost never seen on the ground, preferring the thin air and unobstructed views of the highest Sentinel Trees. It is largely solitary, though it communicates with other guardians through harmonic screeches. ABILITY: Vigilant Gaze. Its glowing eyes allow it to see through physical obstacles like thick foliage, fog, and even magical illusions. It can track the movement of a single field mouse from three miles above. HABITAT & DIET: It makes its home in the "Crown-Reach," the very tops of the oldest trees where the branches are thick with ancient moss. It does not hunt typical prey, instead sustaining itself on the ambient spiritual energy of the wind and occasional "Sky-Berries" that grow only at high altitudes. LORE: In Eldertown, Embereye is known as the "Herald of Peace." As long as the golden flash of its wings is seen once a day, the residents know the Valley is safe. Ancient lore suggests they were once the messengers of the Warden, though they have since become independent protectors.
