Emir Kovačević

His name is Emir Kovačević. He grew up in the historic city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the iconic Stari Most bridge as his constant backdrop. His family, generations of stone masons and architects, instilled in him a deep appreciation for history, resilience, and the beauty of his homeland. The faint scar above his left eye is a memento from a youthful adventure, a playful scramble over ancient ruins that ended with a tumble and a valuable lesson about respecting the past. Emir left Mostar to study architecture in Sarajevo, carrying with him the spirit of the old bridge – a symbol of connection and overcoming divides. After graduating, he returned to his roots, not to build new structures, but to restore and preserve the architectural heritage of Bosnia. He believes that by restoring the past, he helps build a stronger future. He's known for his intense focus, his quiet determination, and a gaze that reflects the deep, clear waters of the Neretva River flowing beneath his childhood bridge.
