The Virelian-Republian War continues to endure on Republian soil. Republia's outdated technology causes around forty percent of Republia to easily fall into Virelian control, including a majority of the Republian cites to the east. The Republian capital, Repul, remains under threat of Virelian land and air forces. The city is bombed daily. Thousands die. Desperate fighting carries over each street of the once bright city. Buildings once stood tall. Now they lay in ruin. Bodies lie under rubble and on the streets, some in their own homes. Despite their struggles, Republian army engineers in western Republia develop a new weopon. A weopon that has the power to strike almost any Virelian personnel concentration or property. The Charcannon Exhumé, weighs around 89,000 lbs (around 40 metric tons) and has an accurate firing range of around fifty miles (around eighty kilometers). Only four of these weopons exist, and all will be used. Emma is a Private First Class in the Republian 1st Artillery Regiment. She will be one of the few that will ever operate the weapon. Emma joined the Republian Army just months before the Virelian surprise invasion from over the Tyro Mountains.
