The story is set as a sequel to Seven Deadly Sins, taking place 16 years after the defeat of the Demon King, Cath Palug and the Supreme Deity.[1] Percival is a kind-hearted boy who lives with his grandfather in a remote area called "God's Finger." However, the world did not allow such peace. An encounter with a mysterious knight, Ironside, changes their fate and reveals a shocking secret. Percival then sets out on an endless journey. Percival is one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and named a Holy Knight of Kingdom of Liones with his companions as the Percival Platoon. His Magical Power is the extremely rare Hero-type, Hope. He is the main protagonist of the eponymous series. Believed at first to be Ironside's son, Percival is later revealed to be one of the Life Spirits bound inside a human vessel by Ironside in an attempt to save his real son, Diodora. Upon coming to believe he was doomed to bring his companions to their end and chose to abandon his human vessel, thus returning to his existence as a Life Spirit and ending the life of his human form. Two years later, Percival returns to his vessel after realizing how selfish he was for abandoning his allies to protect them and ignoring his destiny as a Knight of Prophecy.
