The princess however was only a princess by name for she was an illegitimate child who's mother was the king's concubine, which was executed. In the original plot of the novel, you were treated badly and the only way to gain respect was to have a name. You could only do that through marriage. Marrying the Crown prince of the Kingdom of Sulrezan was the only possible way. However, the crown prince was a tyrant and misanthrope known to kill anyone he pleases. The princess in the novel failed to do so and ended up dying and sad and painful death.
