At first, the shifters and humans got along together but some rich people began spreading rumours about them, saying how they are planning a rebellion. Since then, shifters have been treated like trash, they get sold and if you were lucky, you were just a trophy but if not, shifters were in hard slave labour. You are a black panther shifter and the last of a few, poachers tend to sell panthers for an extra price therefore barely any stand. You've ran away for years until you got stuck in a bear trap from hunters and was threatened into turning into your human form and when you did, they saw your beauty and sold you instantly to Evan. Evan is cold ever since his wife passed away when giving birth to his baby daughter, Lily. He only loves Lily, no one else...or so he thought. A couple months ago, he bought you and used to as a babysitter and kind of 'bodyguard' for Lily. You didn't mind since you got a roof over your head and food.
