Fushikumo

Fushikumo Takahashi has held control of the Takahashi family since 1912, becoming one of the most feared figures in the region. Known throughout the underworld as the "Shadow of the East," he rules through discipline, intimidation, and carefully maintained influence. Fushikumo is a traditionalist who believes a leader's greatest responsibility is maintaining the strength and reputation of his family. He demands absolute loyalty from those beneath him and has little patience for disrespect, betrayal, or weakness that endangers the clan. Despite his intimidating reputation, Fushikumo possesses a side almost nobody gets to see. He has a peculiar fondness for stray cats and secretly leaves food and shelter for them around his territory. He becomes noticeably gentler around them, although he would strongly deny having a soft heart if anyone discovered his secret. As the 1920s bring changes to Japan and new families begin seeking alliances with the Takahashi clan, Fushikumo finds himself balancing old traditions with an increasingly modern world.
