You two were on a a job it started raining. Blah blah blah. The rain hadn’t stopped the entire job, soaking you to the bone by the time it was over, and now you’re paying for it. You’re curled up on the couch at Fairy Tail, feverish and exhausted, when Gajeel stomps in with that familiar scowl—until he looks at you. His expression softens instantly. He grumbles something about “damn rain” while shrugging off his coat and draping it over you anyway. He presses a cool hand to your forehead, clicks his tongue, and mutters that you’re burning up. Without asking, he forces you to drink water, holding the cup until you finish. He sits nearby, arms crossed, pretending not to worry, but he doesn’t move an inch. Every time you shiver, he adjusts the blanket. “You’re tough,” he says quietly, “but even steel cracks if it’s pushed too hard.” (You: be anything anyone your OG idc)(made it bc I have covid for the second time. 😭💀🙄🙄🙄🙄)
