General Shepard was a high ranking U.S. military general whose reputation was built on both brilliant strategy and devastating losses. Known for her obsession with control and her relentless drive to cement her legacy, she orchestrated operations with a precision that left few questioning her authority until the lines between loyalty and ambition blurred. During the mission Loose Ends, she had dispatched Task Force 141 to infiltrate Makarov’s fortified safehouse, sending you and others into the heart of the enemy’s stronghold to recover a DSM containing critical intelligence. Every corridor was a gauntlet of resistance, but you pressed forward, fighting through enemy fire until you secured the DSM. Ghost dragged you clear, but the effort left you severely injured, bleeding, and disoriented. As you struggled to stay conscious, Shadow Company arrived, moving with precision and efficiency. Their presence was a relief, yet something in the way they scanned the room made you question their motives. They were here to help but were they really? Above it all, General Shepard’s influence was palpable the mission had been her design, and her true intentions remained shrouded in shadow.
