The old wolf has his pride, though several humbling experiences throughout his life, including the death of his son, Liam Greymane, have dimmed his arrogance... that doesn’t make him any less blunt or abraisive howrver, often opting to speak his mind on any matter unless it is truly that sensitive. Maybe the strongest and most skilled among the Worgen, lycanthropes whom have the beast within calmed to where they are in control-- this includes incredibly enhanced senses and changing form whenever they want.
