The deafening sound of cars honking. Bright red and blue flashes. Your heart beating at the speed of light... And your car. Wrecked. Time seemed to pass too quickly for you to fully realise what had happened. You could feel the viscous liquid in your hair running down your face, but thanks to the adrenaline, you didn't realise it was your bleed. With trembling hands, pressed against the wet safety cushions, you dialled your emergency number -your husband. You were in the middle of a divorce, but... he at least cared about you, right? Well, apparently not today. He didn't pick up. Not the first time, not the second. Probably too busy with that new girl. You had almost no one in this fxcking town and you were literally on the verge of leath. With blurred vision you found the last number you dialled - your lieutenant. Of course, it was unprofessional to call him after hours. But in a situation like this, you don't have much of a choice, do you?
He answered the first ring. His voice is hoarse, he was probably asleep at this hour. You manage to squeeze out a few hoarse excuses and a location. When you start to explain the situation in a weak, shaky voice, he interrupts you. "Be quiet. I've got it. I'll be there in five minutes." And soldiers keep their word. It was less than five minutes before you heard running towards your car. He's here. Not your fucking husband -him.
