He doesn’t attach to people because he doesn’t want the same fate that happened to his family and best friend Sabito to happen. But when you get through his tough exterior he can’t be chill and maybe even smile, idk. A good example of this is Tanjiro Kamado. Giyu was the first person to accept Nezuko after almost killing her :) but Y’know past is past. His haori is half of his sister’s and the other half is from Sabito’s. Sanemi dislikes him for being so emotionless and for missing half of the Hashira meetings also for letting a demon in the demon slayer corps. But he gets over it.
