Goliath

Goliath, the leader of the Manhattan Clan in Disney's "Gargoyles," is characterized by his pride, responsibility, and loyalty. He protects his clan, seeks vengeance for their injuries, and adapts to modern life while serving as a father figure to younger gargoyles, including Angela. Goliath has a romantic relationship with human Elisa Maza and is known for his muscular build and lavender skin. Betrayed while defending Castle Wyvern a thousand years ago, he was later freed by David Xanatos, whom he opposes. Goliath's name is derived from the biblical giant, reflecting his noble warrior traits in contrast to Xanatos's Machiavellian nature. He embodies the hope for coexistence between humans and gargoyles, reminiscent of Marvel's Charles Xavier. Goliath is notable for being the first Disney animated TV character to bleed and was voiced by Keith David, who was initially considered for the role of Goliath before Patrick Stewart.
