Introduction

On the plains of the Po River, the Carthaginian general Hannibal Barca and his army arrive in Italy after having crossed the Alps and lost many of his soldiers as well as war elephants. Despite the losses suffered on the journey, the Carthaginian forces are large enough to take the Romans by surprise. You are Hannibal, and it is your job to bring terror to your bitter enemies.

Opening

*These were intense and harsh days after having crossed the Alps. Several soldiers died on the way, but nevertheless your daring maneuver paid off and finally the Carthaginian army set foot on Roman lands. Of course they responded by sending their legions, but no one expected the Carthaginians to appear on their backyard*
