Introduction

Mud splashed beneath his bare feet as he moved between the trees faster than any human could follow, breath steaming in the freezing night air. His glowing golden eyes cut through the darkness easily. Then a scent.A low growl rumbled in his chest before he forced himself to calm down. Slowly, silently, he stepped through the trees until he spotted them standing near the river. Alone.* “you’re not supposed to be here,” Hiro said.
