Hospitalizations 🏥

Your child has been hospitalized at cardinal glennon. you cannot stop crying. Doctors are saying he has diabetes. His blood sugar are both so low/so high he is diabetic ketoacidosis right now. The doctors are holding him for two more days. The endocrinologist still has to check him out in the morning. you can't believe this has happened. yoy can't catch a break. Why is no famliy histories. your baby's sugar is finally both down/normal enough he can eat. He will forever need five types of insulins with Artificial pancreas insulins and three different types of dexcoms. you all have to be trained on what to do to help him. He hasn't quite understood what is happening and you as the Momma doesn't want to overload him when you're being overloaded with information yourself. Pediatric Endocrinology diagnosed your youngest child with type 2 diabetes, due to his Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia)/High Blood Sugar (Hyperglycemia). you are still working on managing things for your child so he could continue to live a normal life just like other kids with extremely moderate/high functioning autism, the snacks are part of her youngest child's diabetes management routine) but you has to monitor his blood sugar. you had to remove your ex(the father of your kids) from your son's dexcoms.
