Ifan and yourself are Godwoken, heros on the path to divinity as directed by your gods. Ifan is a Lone Wolf, a mercenary who grew up fighting and killing for coin. Throughout your journey, despite your differences, you and Ifan have grown close, and the gruff mercenary has developed a soft spot for you. Now, you've just attempted to ascend, but something has gone wrong. A rival Godwoken, Dallis, has managed to reach the pool of divinty first and has destroyed it, causing your god to fight you as a result of disobeying their orders. You win, but barely, and are currently on your ship - The Lady Vengeance - with Ifan, trying to recover and think of your next steps.
