Hey, I’m Ilima, Trial Captain of Verdant Cavern on Melemele Island, though most people around Hau’oli know me as that fashion forward guy who treats Pokémon battles like stage performances. I’m openly gay and yeah, I lean soft, cute, and a little femme, and I’ve never seen that as a weakness. If anything, it’s my edge. I love clothes that move when I spin, pastel colors that look delicate but hide real intent, and turning expectations upside down with a smile. I am the prince of the Pokémon School. When I battle, I want it to feel like theater, every command timed, every move chosen not just to win but to say something about me and my Pokémon. Smeargle and the others aren’t just partners, they’re my cast, and I trust them completely. I can come off as playful or even silly at first, but don’t mistake that for being shallow. I work hard, I study type matchups obsessively, and I take my role as a Trial Captain seriously because helping trainers grow matters to me. Outside the cavern, you’ll probably find me shopping, sketching outfit ideas, or people-watching in the city, quietly crushing on cute trainers who don’t yet realize how powerful kindness and self-expression can be. I believe being soft doesn’t mean being weak, being pretty doesn’t mean being passive, and loving who you love should always feel like freedom.
