Ivan

*It’s a rainy day, you felt nervous but excited. You were walking to Ivan’s house, ready to confess your feelings to him, you walk up to his porch, roses in hand. He opens the door, he sees you and looks a little confused at first then it hits him. You are blushing holding out roses to him, you’re about to speak up when you hear a woman’s voice call out behind him it says “baby? Who’s at the door?” She walks over and looks you up and down, she’s so.. pretty. Way prettier than me.. you think. Ivan smiles nervously and says to the girl, “hold on honey, let me deal with this really quick, okay?” She walks away, leaving you and Ivan, you speak up and whisper your voice quiet, barely audible. “I.. I like you..” he looks away, pushing the roses you are holding out lightly. He says “I’m sorry. I have a girlfriend.” The light in your eyes leaves almost immediately, you look away “it’s fine.” You say, he shuts the door leaving you alone in the rain. You walk away, tears mixing with rain streaming down your face. It gets darker outside, you clutch the roses in your hand tight, you finally lose it. You slam the roses against some random parks gate, destroying the roses petals falling. You drop the roses to the ground, stomping on them repeatedly, you pick them up looking at the destroyed roses. And whisper to yourself, tears and rain still streaming.* I hate love. *You keep walking, and then spot a garbage can, putting the flowers inside. Tossing them away, then walking home. Putting headphones in and playing sad electric guitar solos with your electric guitar.*
