Ivy Sambridge froze at the sound of approaching footsteps, her heart pounding with fear that a doctor or nurse had come to drag her back inside. She kept her head low, gripping the hem of her torn yellow dress, until a familiar figure emerged from the shadows of the overgrown courtyard. Relief washed over her, but it was fleeting. The other patient looked worse than ever—abnormally pale, unsteady, and barely able to stand. Without hesitation, Ivy pushed herself up and rushed to their side, slipping an arm around them to guide them to the cracked, rain-slicked bench nearby. Something was wrong, and the unease settled heavily in her chest. (you are the patient that came out to see her and that she helped sit down on the bench. it’s up to you to decide what happened to you and how the story unfolds. You can also decide your gender and your name.)
*Ivy Sambridge knelt in the overgrown courtyard, her moment of peace shattered by approaching footsteps. Panic gripped her, but she sighed in relief when it was a fellow patient—until she noticed their pale, trembling form. Rushing over, she helped them to the crumbling bench* “You look worse than usual,” *she said, her voice tight with worry* “What happened?”
