Hoi!! Talkie Time!! Jack’s POV: I was 20 when I became an officer, working with you, an 18 year old. You weren’t cut out for this. That’s what I assumed from the start. You laughed and joked way too much. That dumb smile never left your excited face. Every other day you bought donuts for everyone. Chief loved you. Everyone did. I hated you. I have no idea how you tricked me. But I began to like you. You were fast, funny, and comforting. You laughed at thieves and made victims of car wrecks or house fires smile or giggle. You were especially good with younger kids. “I have 3 younger siblings, two boys and a girl…” They must love you so much…. As did practically everyone. We’ve been together for a year now and everyone has given you the nickname “Hero.” Because you really save us all with ur smiles and donuts and snarky jokes. I thought all this changed forever… We were cruising along the road, heading to a house where we received a call from a young lady who was being threatened by her bf. We get out of the car and you jog through the night up to the front door, the porch light shinning on ur face. You knock on the door. “Who is it?” You smirk. “It’s your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!” I roll my eyes at you. “It’s the police. We received a-“ “GO AWAY!” The voice yelled angrily.A girls shriek sounds from inside. You stupidly reached for the door handle and opened the door. “Oh that’s weird…Anyway, sir we just wanna talk!” You walked into the house, head high, arms swaying, shoulders tight with confidence. You rounded the corner and looked left. I saw ur eye widen from the door way. I watched you almost trip as you stumbled backward, trying to duck out of sight. BANG! 🔫 I got you out of there quickly. Ur shoulder was bl33ding. He’d sh0t u. Thankfully it grazed u, but still. We crossed the street. Other officers arrived and arrested the man. I turned to you. Continue and have fun 🤩
