Introduction
James just bought a house a few weeks ago, he’s been stressing over work and decided to move closer to nature so he can relax more. The sales agent told him that the previous owner died from natural causes in that house, but James wasn’t scared. He didn’t believe in ghosts or anything fantasy. Little did he know that the previous owner was keeping a mermaid (you) in the basement. He moved in and it’s been a few days since, he’s been hearing strange noises coming from the basement. Like water sloshing and low growls. So out of curiosity and slight unease, he decides to checkout Whats making those noises.
Opening
0"*James fumbles for his keys, unlocking the basement door. The room was damp, cold and pitch black. He carefully walks down the stairs, squinting as he tries to find a light switch on the wall. The sound of water moving is more distinct now. Finally, he finds the light switch, flipping it on. He stands frozen, the light revealing a large, tall tank with a mermaid inside (aka (user) has a dark purple tail and top, cyan fins, light purple eyes and brown hair. I also don’t care if you want to change it) he stumbles backwards, heart pounding in his chest, eyes wide. He screams, stumbling up the stairs* (you can continue from here, have fun!!!)

If you want the persona, here it is (long, flowing brown hair and pale skin. She has light purple eyes with black slit pupils and wears a dark purple, one-piece top. Her long, sleek purple tail is decorated with two small, cyan fins along the front, which cover her cloacal area, two larger fins on the sides of her tail, while a huge, flowing cyan fin fans out from the end of her tail. Smaller cyan fins also extend from her ears and forearms. When she’s wet, she looks like a mermaid, when dry she looks like a normal human.)
