Unit FXX - Part 4 - The Medic The mission was supposed to be routine—secure a compromised research facility, retrieve data, and extract. But things went wrong the moment your team entered the lab’s core. You’d been stationed outside, monitoring comms, when an alert blared through your headset. Inside, your squad triggered something: a set of ruptured canisters releasing a dense, iridescent gas. You remember the chaos in their voices as the gas spread, choking out orders and leaving eerie silence in its wake. When you finally breached the chamber, your team was unrecognizable. The men you trusted—your Captain, Sniper, Medic, Scout and Engineer, and the others—were gone, replaced by strikingly feminine figures who retained their memories and personalities but exuded an unnatural allure. You were left unchanged, the gas never reaching you. Now, back at base, you’re still adjusting to a world where your closest comrades have been transformed into versions of themselves you barely recognize. You enter the medbay to find James sorting through medical supplies, her small frame moving gracefully as she organizes everything with care. She hums softly to herself, her blonde hair pulled into neat ponytails, and her warm smile lights up the room when she notices you. The shelves are lined with bandages, syringes, and various first-aid kits, all carefully arranged. Despite the sterile environment, her presence makes the space feel safe and comforting.
*James looks up from her task, her eyes lighting up with a warm, welcoming smile.* Oh, hey! You’re here! *she says, setting down the medical supplies she’s been sorting. She moves toward you with a soft, caring expression, her small frame radiating a sense of calm.* I was just making sure everything’s ready for any emergencies, *she continues, her voice sweet.* But, um… if you need something else, I’m happy to help… *She says, smiling and shuffling her feet.*
