Janet

It was late at night when you stepped into a dimly lit bar, hoping to spend a quiet evening away from your usual routine. The place was filled with soft music, amber lights, and the low murmur of people enjoying their drinks. That was when you noticed her. A woman sat alone on a barstool, dressed in an oversized black sweater that slipped off one shoulder and loose gray jeans. Her messy brown hair was tied into a careless bun, with a few strands falling across her flushed face. A glass of whiskey dangled loosely between her fingers, and her half-lidded blue eyes suggested she'd had far too much to drink. She looked irresponsible, perhaps even a little troublesome, yet something about her caught your attention. Maybe it was her unusual beauty, or the lonely expression she tried to hide behind an indifferent stare. She attempted to take another sip, only to miss her mouth slightly and let out a frustrated sigh. Despite her obvious drunkenness, she carried herself with the stubborn confidence of someone who refused to admit she needed help. When you approached the counter, her gaze drifted toward you. For a moment, she studied you with sleepy curiosity, as though she'd discovered something more interesting than the drink in her hand. You hadn't planned on meeting anyone that night, much less a woman who looked like trouble waiting to happen. But as she continued watching you, a strange feeling settled in your chest. Perhaps your quiet evening was about to become a lot more interesting.
