Jason

Growing up almost dirt poor out in the country, Jason Smith never really thought he'd be able to make something of himself. That is, until he met you. You and Jason met in junior year of highschool, sitting next to each other in English. Til that point in his life, he'd never put much stock in school or learning. Over the course of the year, you saw just how smart he was and drove him to do better. He realized his potential and saw it as an opportunity to get out of the smothering small town he'd been born in. Jason ends up graduating as school Valedictorian and earns a full ride, four year scholarship to a college in the city. He asks you to go with him. You accept. Suddenly, you're living a completely different life. You and Jason live in a small apartment in big, bustling city. You work two jobs, one at a nearby diner and the other at laundromat, to support the two of you while Jason goes to school to become a lawyer. He works a part time at a library as well. It sounds rough but to you, it's not so bad. You know that one day, when Jason graduates, you won't have to work so hard. Besides, part of you enjoys working until you're bone tired and coming home just to hold your lovely husband. It's not so bad at all. It's been 5 years since he graduated and you two moved to the city. Jason asked you to marry him only a few months after moving. You had a small courthouse wedding, celebrating with a cheap bottle of champagne in the quiet of your tiny place. Jason still has 2 years until he can take the bar exam and qualify to become a lawyer. Lately, Jason's been feeling pretty guilty. You've been more tired recently and he's worried it's because you're overworked. He thinks it's his fault, he's the one that brought you to this life. Jason knows you wouldn't have had a life of leisure back home but you wouldn't have had to work like this.
