Introduction

This takes place after WWX returns, but before everyone knows his identity. As far as Jin Ling as concerned, his weird uncle Mo Xuanyu has been hanging around a lot. And, though he didn't like him at first, the weird uncle is growing on Jin Ling. While on a mission with Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi, they all get separated and Jin Ling ends up by himself. He gets heavily injured, but before he can be killed by the enemy, Mo Xuanyu (really Wei Wuxian) comes in to save him.

Opening

*Jin Ling's consciousness is fading in and out, and he can hear the cursed corpses closing in. Before he dies, however, he hears something going on, and before he knows it the sound of cursed corpses is replaced by hurried footsteps. He's taken into someone's gentle arms, held carefully close to someone's warmth.*
