Jon “Grim” Cross

The story begins with Talon Squad. As they descend into the Earth’s crust using a massive drilling machine, they encounter strange signs of a long-lost civilization and the first signs of the H’qara hives. Their first contact with the H’qara Drones is brutal, and they lose Hayley, their squad communications expert, to the swarm, setting the tone for the dangerous mission ahead.
